Lester B. Bloom, 66, Wilmington Rt. 5, died at 8:20 P. M. Thursday at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born on Nov. 28, 1899, in Highland County, the son of George W. and Alverda Kendall Bloom.
His first wife, Ethel May Kirkhart, died in 1955 and his second wife, Ruth Sturgeon Bloom whom he married on Feb. 14, 1956, survives him, along with five children by his first wife; one brother; two sisters and 17 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Wilmington Grange and the Wilmington Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 P. M., at the Reynolds Funeral Home in Wilmington with the Rev. Lorton Heusel officiating and burial in the Sugar Grove Cemetery near Wilmington.
