Mrs. Alice Jones, 84, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at a local nursing facility. Mrs. Jones worked with the Council on Aging and took pride in her work. Mrs. Jones had been a resident of the local area since 1955, moving here from Frisco City, Ala. She is survived by four children, Dianne White of Lexington, S.C., Judy Miles and husband, Cecil, of Birmingham, Ala., Mark Johns and wife, Janel, of Marietta, Ga., and Adam Jones of Panama City; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Doug White officiating. Interment will follow.
