Birth: 1832
New Jersey, USA
Death: May 25, 1864
Paulding County
Georgia, USA

Matthew was the son of David Morrison & Maria Camp.

He married Catharine Baughman, 9 Dec 1856, Knox Co., OH.

They had four children: Elmer T.; John W.; George F.; & Flora Jane (Krider).

Matthew was killed in action during the Civil War. He served in Co. C, 82nd Ohio Infantry. Note that Catherine's widow's pension records state that he was killed at the Battle of Dallas (GA). The 82nd participated in the Battle of New Hope Church (in the Dallas area) the day he was killed. The Battle of Dallas was a few days after his death. The "U.S. Registers of Deaths of Volunteers, 1861-1865" shows he died near Dallas, GA.

After Matthew's death, Catharine married Samuel Stricker, 6 Feb 1868 in Wyandot Co., OH.
