Married - In this city on Thursday, 18th instant, by Elder T.M. Harris, Mr. George W. Brown, of Davisboro, and Miss Emma Hook Harris, daughter of the officiating minister.

Married second to J. Sanford Adams on 11 Jun 1895 in Washington County, Georgia.

The Wrightsville Headlight reports: Dr. and Mrs. T.L. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. T.I. Malpass were called to Sandersville last week by the very suddenly sad news of the death of Mrs. J.S. Adams, daughter of the late Rev. T.H. Harris, and sister of Dr. T.L. Harris and Mrs. T.I. Malpass. Mrs. Adams died very suddenly from congestion; was ill only a few days. The friends of the family deeply sympathize with them in this their second sudden and very sad bereavement.

NOTE: Emma's brother, Richard Ivey Harris, had passed away suddenly five months before on 23 Jul 1895 at the age of 31.

NOTE: One of the stained glass windows in the 1907 sanctuary of the First Christian Church of Sandersville contains a pane inscribed: Hook Harris Adams, 1866-1895.
