BRIGHAM CITY – Oliver Miller Dunn, 103, passed away on Dec. 10, 2011, at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1908, in College Ward, Utah, a son of Levi and Annie Miller Dunn.

Oliver graduated from Bear River High School in 1928.

He married Eliza Bronson on March 6, 1929 in Tremonton, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 6, 1949. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1981. Oliver married Emily Lawrence on Dec. 26, 1982 in Fillmore, Utah.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a member of the Brigham City 3rd Ward. Oliver and Emily served in the Ogala Sioux LDS Mission in South Dakota. He was an avid scouter, Silver Beaver and at the time of his death the oldest living Eagle Scout in the World.

Oliver worked at Hill Air Force Base retiring in 1980.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, traveling and being with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Emily, West Haven; four children, Donald Dunn, Santa Monica, CA; Arlene Dunn Oyler, Tremonton; Gerald (Carolyn) Dunn, Brigham City; Olive Jenann (Ross) Bennett, Roy; 8 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 24 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Eliza, one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the Boy Scouts of America.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 S., Brigham City, Utah.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 – 10:40 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
