Melvina Adeline Hicks wife of Samuel Burke was Walter's mother. she was born in Illinois and died in the Caddo Mills Texas area. We have never been able to find her grave site. It is likely she was buried on her land in a small private cementary. After Samuel's death Melvina remarried John D McGlaun and died a couple of years later.
