Andrew Jesse was born 7 Oct 1871 in Karnes County, Texas the third child of Andrew Rabb Newman and Mary Elizabeth (Lewis) Newman. On 26 Jul 1893 Amdrew Jesse married Susan Anne Shillings, daughter of Margaret Catherine (Shaver) Shillings and John M. Shilling. She was born 26 Oct 1868, died 1 Sept 1945 and is buried beside him in the Methodist Cemetery at Anchorage.
His grave is marked "Father"
