Married about 1840 to Lucinda Bonds (1819 1870) and their children were Mary Elizabeth Jordan (1841 1903), William Washington Jordan (1842 1908), James Richard Jordan (1844 1929), Wiley Parks Jordan (1847 1925), Levi Jackson Jordan (1849 1924), Martha M. Jordan (1851 1914), and Pernal H. Jordan (1853 1914). Many sources say Wiley was convicted of murder. Wiley Jordan, son of Absalom, is a different person than the Wiley Henry Jordan shown here. Wiley, son of Absalom, died in the Civil War. He was named in his father's will dated 1859. He married Sarah Ann ______, and lived in or around Bibb Co. until his death. Wiley Henry Jordan b. abt 1818 in GA, died in 1855 near Palmetto, GA of appendicitis, leaving his widow, Lucinda Bond Jordan and 7 children. She later married John Wesley Carroll, Jr., and in 1857 the famioy traveled by wagon train to Jackson Parish, LA. Wiley Henry Jordan's parents are as yet unknown.
