Mr. Qualls was born June 13, 1938 in Phenix City, Ala., the son of the late Sarah Frances Carroll Qualls and Russell Cleo Qualls. He retired after 37 years of service as a Sergeant with the City of Columbus Police Department. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and a member of the Carl Bryant Sunday School Class of Bethesda Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Ann Qualls of Ellerslie; a daughter, Sharon Blaxton and husband Terry of Columbus; a son, Larry Donald Qualls Jr., and wife Jennifer of Midland, Ga.; a brother, Russell Qualls and wife Winnie Ruth of Ellerslie; five precious grandchildren, Terry Blaxton Jr., and Lauren Blaxton, both of Columbus, Kaylyn Qualls, Kristen Qualls and Clayton Qualls, all of Midland; step mother, Maggie Irma Qualls of Columbus and her son, William Hicks of Salem, Ala.
