Maxine was daughter of Willie & Naomi Monroe, mother of Naomi, Phyllis, Marshall and the late Ulysses Jr. & the late Morgan. Widow of Ulysses Sr. Grandmother of Alexandria, Miriam, & Sarah. Also survived by Mrs. Mary Woods, Pearl Lammons, the Brister family, and many others. She was an active member of her church, Grant AME of Chesilhurst and often sung church solos. She always had a large presence in life.
