Carl C. Karau, 95, 1500 O'Day St., Merrill, died Monday, August 20, 2001, at Good Samaritan Health Center, Merrill.

Carl had dairy farmed in the town of Pine River until the 1950s and was later employed at Lincoln Wood Products until his retirement in December, 1970.

Survivors include his son, Robert (Linda) Karau, Apple Valley, Minn,; two stepdaughters, Helen Bruessow and Harriet (Vernon) Hodgson, all of Merrill; two stepsons, Milton (Pat) Krahn, Merrill, and Robert (Audrey) Krahn, Madison; four grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Oldenburg, Melrose Park, Ill., and Helen (John) Lau, Merrill; and one brother, Alfred (Frieda) Karau, Merrill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Taylor-Mann-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until the time of services at the funeral home.
