Mrs. Joseph Valentine

Mrs. Mittie Ellen Valentine, 76,
of Franklin Furance, died at 6 a.m. today at Lawrence
General Hospital at Ironton.
She was born in Magoffin County, Ky; Nov.6,1885,
a daughter of Samuel and Mary Jane Whitt Caudill.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Valentine, whom
she married Feb.2, 1907; four sons, John Henry of Portsmouth,
Frank Edward of Franklin Furance and Andy and Samuel, both
of Ironton Rt.1; five daughters, Mrs Mary Thomas of Franklin Furance,
Mrs Nora Austin of Baltimore, Md; Mrs. Ann Winn of Denver, Colo;
and Misses Deborah and Nellie Valentine, both at home; six brothers;
John H. Caudill and Samuel M; both of Point Pleasant, W. Va;
George W. at South Point, Ohio, Abel of Indiana, Walter C. of Ashland,Ky. and Ben F. of Buena Vista; a sister Mrs. Laurie cooper of Pikeville, Ky; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Mrs Valentine was preceded in death by her parents, two sons,
three brothers and two sisters.
She attended Franklin Furance Church of God where the funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Kenneth Mobley is to officiate, with interment in Junior Furance Cemetery under direction of Baker Funeral Home at Ironton.
Friends may call at the residence after 1p.m. Saturday.
