Marilyn Jane Chapman, 61, of Decatur died Feb. 1, 2004 in her home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery. She was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Mount Auburn, the daughter of William Francis and Anna Thelma Ealey Stuart. She was a homemaker and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She married Glen Allen Chapman on March 20, 1970, in Decatur. Surviving are her husband; daughter, Rhonda K. Chapman of Decatur; stepson, Larry Chapman of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Jean Brown of Decatur; brother, Bill Stuart and wife Wilma of Decatur; sisters, JoAnn Bowen of Moweaqua; Shirley Eads and husband Floyd and Elaine Coffman and husband Dan, all of Decatur; brother-in-law, Kenny Chapman and wife Judy of North Dakota; sisters-in-law, Rita Chapman of Mount Zion; Helen Chapman of Herrick; and grandson, Clayton Stuart Chapman of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Julie Crawford.
