He worked at the lab at U.S. Steel in Pennsylvania before graduating from Kentucky Christian College in 1952. He had churches in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan – the last one being Albion Church of Christ on Maple Street, retiring in 1983. He had been employed at the Parma Chapel of Tidd-Williams Funeral Chapels Inc. since 1981. He enjoyed woodworking, playing the banjo and musical saw, antiques, reading his Bible, which had done 34 times to date, people and always had a good clean sense of humor.
