Joan D. Leustek, 71, of Ely, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at her residence.
Joan was born on August 9, 1938, in Ely to Frank and Jennie (Kromer) Zupek.
Joan was a graduate of Ely High School who served as treasurer for Ely Steelworkers Credit Union for 25 years. Joan served on the Wells Fargo board, the Ely Development Council and also the St. Louis County Board of Adjustment and the Zoning and Planning boards.
Joan married Albert Leustek on February 16, 1974.
Joan is survived by her husband Albert; her children, Barb Berglund and Michael (Delores) Berglund; grandchildren, Isaak Berglund and Abigail Berglund; nephew, Don (Cheryl) Zupec; and niece, Renee Zupec.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patti Sue Berglund, and a brother, Frank Zupek.
