Cleo was born to the late William & Grace (nee Evans) on September 11th, 1930. He confirmed his Christian faith that he received in his baptism at his Adult Confirmation at St. John Ev. Luthern Church Baldwin, IL on May 7th, 1978. Cleo was called home to heavenly rest on February 24th, 2011.

He married Loretta Funken and they were blessed with 44 years of marriage.

Cleo worked as an owner/operator over the road driver. He was an owner of Sunoco Station Baldwin, IL. He was also a mechanic for Sparta Road District #1. He later retired from the Road District.

Cleo was preceded in death by his parents, William & Grace Brees; his sister, Veda Brees; and a son-in-law.

Cleo's body will be laid to rest on a future date in St. John Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin, IL to await the resurrection at the end of the age.
