Leona attended Cuba Public Schools and graduated from Cuba High School in 1934. She was united in marriage to Azel Adin Joy on August 31, 1938 and to this union two children were born, Lorene and Charles.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Narka and the Presbyterian Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Lesovsky, husband, Azel A. Joy, two sisters and one infant brother.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorene (William) Holloway of Narka, one son, Charles Joy of Narka, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Eugene Hadachek of Belleville, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday December 3, 2011 at the Presbyterian Church in Narka, conducted by Pastor Phil Goombi. Interment was made in Maple Grove Cemetery, rural Narka.
