MRS. JOHN LESH DEAD
Mrs. John W. Lesh died today at her home, 401 East Street. Mrs. Lesh suffered from a stroke of paralysis four years ago and had never fully recovered. She was confined to her bed a month ago and her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Lesh's maiden name was Anna E. Loy and she was born in Prairie [sic] County, Pa. She was married September 20, 1864, to John W. Lesh and came to Kansas seven years later. The Leshes settled in Kansas near Americus and moved to Emporia about three years ago. Mrs. Lesh is survived by her husband and three children: G. R. Lesh, who lives near Plymouth, Mrs. Margaret Simons and Mrs. Ella Fry of Emporia. Mrs. Lesh was a member of the Methodist Church.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Lesh home and will be conducted by the Rev. H. W. Hargett. Interment will be made in the Americus Cemetery.
