Parley Winner Rushton 1914 ~ 2007 Beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2007 with his family by his side. We are comforted in knowing that he is reunited with his Heavenly Father, wife of 69 years, and many family members and friends.

Parley was born January 21, 1914 in Hunter, Utah to Walter John Rushton and Jennie Leoni Wilding. He married Maurine Mackay, June 6, 1936. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Parley was a devoted member of the LDS Church where he held many positions and loved every minute of it. Dad's paint contracting career took him all over the United States where he was always running into someone he knew. He loved and enjoyed people and was blessed with having many friends. He was known for his wonderful gardening skills, always giving away, corn, tomatoes, raspberries and anything else he grew.

Preceded in death by his wife Maurine, daughter, Ruth Maurine, five brothers and five sisters. Survived by his two sons, P. Brent (Marilyn) Rushton, Draper; Keith M. (Paula) Rushton, Draper; 10 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. Dad, until we see you again... we love you. We wish to express a special thanks to the IHC Hospice staff for their kindness and support.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden Heights Ward, 2220 E. Fisher Lane (2935 South). Burial services will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 So. Highland Drive. A viewing will be held Sunday, March 4th from 5-7 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and also one hour prior to services on Monday at the Ward.
