She died Dec. 6, 2011, at Grenada Lake Medical Center, Grenada. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, under the direction of Boone-Wells Funeral Home.
She was born in Sunflower, Miss. and was a long time resident of Greenville where she was a waitress at Jim's Cafe for many years. In 2010, she moved to Tillatoba.
She is survived by a son, Joseph M. Wilson; two daughters, Linda Darnell and Viola Jane Dyce; a brother, John Henry Dempsey; and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Boone-Wells Funeral Home.
