The funeral of Mrs. R.S. Robertson, 78, of Kansas City was held at the Kays Funeral Home in Eldon Tuesday afternoon with Rev. William Hensley of Ibeia in charge. Interment was in the spring Garden Cemetery. She died at Trinity Hospital in Kansas City, October 13, where she had been for some time after suffering a stroke two years ago.
Lily Dale Belshe Robertson was born February 26, 1873 in Miller County, near where Eldon is now located, the daughter of Frank and Abigail Belshe.
December 19, 1900, she was married to R.S. Robertson and they were the parents of five children, all of whom survive with their father. They are: A.M. Robertson, Iberia, E.R. Robertson, Jefferson City, Mrs. S.P. Clark, Los Angeles, Calif; and J.P. and R.R. Robertson of Kansas City, Mo. Other surviving members of the family are thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Robertson was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ, first at Smyrna, near Meta, Mo.; where her family resided for many years, and later she became an active member of the Etterville Church of Christ. Shge had made her home in that community for several years.
