Pascagoula, MS ~ Brenda Joyce Versiga, 63 of Pascagoula passed from this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in Pascagoula. She was born December 6, 1948 in Columbia, Mississippi.
Brenda was a former Broker and Realtor in Jackson County and former Legislative Chairman of the Mississippi State P.T.A. and at the national P.T.A. level. She served as a national suicide counselor and was very active in her community and her church, Arlington Heights Baptist Church in Pascagoula.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford Perry and Sarah Jean Randall Grice; a daughter, Ashley Versiga; a sister, Joan Grice Brown; and brother, James W. "Jimmy" Grice.
Survivors include her husband, Robert "Bobby" Versiga of Pascagoula; sisters, Nancy (D. Fred) Sullivan of Pass Christian; Judia (Byron) Gulledge of Jackson; brother, Bobby Dale (Saadia) Grice of Virginia Beach, VA ; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
Visitiation will be Friday, December 23, 2011 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ben Carlisle officiating.
Interment will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, MS.
Serving as pallbearers will be Darr Fred Sullivan, III, William Perry Grice, Mark Emerson, Mark Hansen, Jay Loris and Brian Conner.
