Nadine was born on May 8, 1925 in Greenwood, South Carolina, the youngest of nine children of the late Charles Wesley Dixon and Ola Eunice Burkett Dixon. Nadine was a remarkable woman. Married in 1942, she and Wayne shared 67 years together. In 1962, Nadine fulfilled a life time dream and became a licensed practical nurse. After her children finished college, Nadine went back to school and graduated in 1974 from Greenville Technical College with an associate degree in nursing. She continued her education at Anderson College (University) taking courses as she could. She continued to work at AnMed Medical Center until her retirement. She loved her profession, took pride in keeping up with her field, and loved trips to Atlanta to purchase nursing and medical textbooks at a specialty store. Nadine was an avid bowler and enjoyed league play in Anderson for many years. She bowled as often as she could each week. She enjoyed her tournament travel to different parts of South Carolina and across the U.S. Nadine enjoyed life. She was a wonderful mother and taught her children her love of life and giving.
