Arvy Ray Simons, 81, 1226 S. Ransom, died at 4:07 a.m today, May 6, at Mercy Hospital. Mr. Simons was born near Farlington April 23, 1896, the son of John C. and Lydia Elora Duncan Simons. He married Miss Mae Wilson, Dec. 12, 1916, in Fort Scott. He was a retired construction worker. Mr. Simons was a member of the Pawnee Holiness Church.

Surviving besides the widow of the home are four daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Mercedes) Allen of Parsons, Mrs. Jerry (Kathryn) Scott of Andover, Kan., Mrs. Carl (Lavon) McCollum of Columbia, SC, and Mrs. Earl (Belva) Payne of 4 East National, one son, Kenneth W. Simons of 315 West Wall; one brother, Archie Simons of Girard; one sister, Mrs. Rosalie Moore of 306 Andrick; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
