Hazel Leona Fetter
June 29, 1912 - Dec. 17, 2011

SOUTH BEND - Hazel L. Fetter, 99 years of age, received her greatest desire on December 17, 2011, when she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was one of 13 children of Harry and Sadie (Myers) Fleegle of Bedford County, PA. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings, and is survived by one sister, Bertha of Bedford, PA.

She was married to Don Fetter, who preceded her on March 27, 1965, an infant son and son Donnie in January 1989. She was a devoted member of Twin City Baptist Church, Mishawaka. She attended faithfully until she was physically unable; she was an avid bowler until age 94. Her good friends, Rita and Eva, whom she met through bowling, were there for her and graciously cared for her in the absence of her family, who were all from PA and Ohio. She will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. Her faith in the Lord and her positive attitude sustained her until the very end. Funeral services will be held today at 11:00 a.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. E-mail condolences may be sent to www.welsheimer.com.

Hazel Fetter was my aunt and there are 2 pieces of information I know she would want included in this memorial. In addition to her son Donald, she and my uncle lost twin boys. Larry and Barry Fetter were born on Aug 10, 1951 and passed away the next day (8-11-51) in Alliance, Ohio. They were laid to rest in the Alliance City Cemetery on Vine St.
