Mrs. Jeanette Jackson, age 74 of Richlands Virginia passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at a Richlands, Virginia hospital. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Jeff and Nora Bailey Matney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dennie Jackson; one son, Todd Jackson; three brothers, Mack Matney, Jack Matney and Joe Matney; four sisters, Sue Helton, Betty Ray, Thelma Matney and Mildred Addison.
She is survived two daughters, Barbara Van Sant of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Ginger Dyer of Claypool Hill, Virginia; two sisters, Brenda Matney Justice of Pounding Mill, Virginia and Geneva Billiter of Claypool Hill, Virginia; five brothers, Roger Matney of Sterling, Virginia, James Matney of Aldie, Virginia, Bobby Matney of N. Tazewell, Virginia, Keith Matney of Wardell, Virginia and Tim Matney of Abingdon, Virginia; Three grandchildren, Robbie Forsyth of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Heather Griffith of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Kyle Jackson of Cary, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Virginia with pastor Steve Payne officiating. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery mausoleum.
