Olive B. Brainerd
Dies In Hospital
Mrs. Olive B. Brainerd, 87, of Windham [NY] died Tuesday at Memorial Hospital [Catskill, NY] after a long illness.
Services will be held Friday at the Decker Funeral Home, Windham, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Cobb of the Windham Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will follow in Windham cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening.
Mrs. Brainerd was born Feb. 2, 1875 in Ashland [NY], the daughter of Carlos and Edna Tuttle Tompkins. She was married to the late Elbert A. Brainerd, whom she assisted in the managing of their well known Brainerd Farm on South street, Windham, up until the time of his death about 12 years ago. She was a member of the Windham Presbyterian church and had been until later years, a member of Mt. Star Chapter No. 237 OES.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edna Wood of Clermont, Fla. and Mrs. Eva Moore of Windham; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
