Luther E. Pendleton, 3, of Abilene, Tex., formerly of Dixon, died Monday, Oct. 23, 1972, in Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene, Tex. Mr. Pendleton was born April 23, 1899, near Iberia, in Miller County, the son of Charles and Sarah (Stratton) Pendleton. He was married Aug. 1, 1920, in Miller County to Edith Grosvenor who survives. Mr. Pendleton had lived most of his life in the Iberia and Dixon areas where he farmed. He moved to Abilene, Tex. in 1969.

Surviving other than his wife, Edith, are two sons, Leo Paul Pendleton of Pittsville, Md., and Luther Wayne Pendleton of Palmdale, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Wall of Abilene, Tex., and Mrs. Ina Allen of St. Louis; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ambrose of Jefferson City, and Mrs. Gladys Weiskopf of Gerald; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia with Bro. Kenneth Evans officiating. Interment was in the Lawson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Wall, Robin Allen, Myrl Pendleton, Mark Pendleton, Marvin Pendleton, and Ernie Pendleton.
