SON-IN-LAW OF GEORGE C. SCOTT DEAD.

BEN CRAIG KILLED BY FAILING FROM FREIGHT CAR. He was a brakeman on the Chicago & Alton - His Widow and Three Young Children Survive Him. Word has been received here by Mr. and Mrs. George C. Scott, of 1022 South Central Avenue, telling of the death of their son-in-law, Ben Craig, at Higginsville, Missouri, last evening. Except that the body will be brought here for burial, little is known of the accident, but what was told by a Kansas City paper this morning. It said: "Ben Craig, of Kansas city, a freight brakeman on the Chicago & Alton, fell under a freight car while making a coupling in the yards at Higginsville, Missouri yesterday afternoon. His right leg was cut off. He died at 7:35 o'clock. He had been a brakeman four years. Craig lived at 1407 Bellfontaine Avenue, Kansas City, with his wife and three children. The family left last night for burial. The body will arrive here tomorrow afternoon from Kansas City, and the funeral will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Scott, 1022 South Central Avenue, at 2:30 o'clock.
