Entered into rest on November 30th, 2011 at the age of 85 with his family at his side. Jack was born on June 2nd, 1926 in southern California. He enlisted in the U.S Army after high school and travelled to the Philippines, France, Korea and Pearl Harbor during World War II. He returned to Gilroy where he met and married Avalon, his wife of 61 years. He was an entrepreneur in his furniture stores but also loved farming and the sound of his tractors starting up and keeping a family garden Those who knew Jack knew him as a very generous person. He was a good provider for his family and only wanted the best for them.

Jack is survived by his wife Avalon Corona; his sons Raymond Corona of Watsonville, James Corona of Santa Cruz, daughter Katherine Corona of Monterey; his sisters Ruth Martinez of Mountain View, Effie Artana of San Jose, Gloria Ballard of San Jose, Norma Quackenbush of Los Banos, Alice Jimenez of San Jose and his brothers Manuel Corona of Gilroy, Arthur Corona of Seaside, and Charles Corona of San Jose. He also leaves behind two grand-daughters; Jacqueline Koviak and Raquel Koviak of Monterey as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Beatrice Corona, his brother Toby Corona and this year his brother Alfred Corona.

A viewing was held on Friday December 9th from 3-9pm and the funeral mass was held on Saturday December 10th at 1pm at Davis Memorial Chapel. He was buried at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
