Charles "Chuck" Clyde Clubine, age 85, was called Home from this life on July 19, 2008. He was born December 8, 1922 and was one of six children born to Clyde and Viola Clubine in Independence, Kansas. He attended Havana High School, Havana, KS. He worked on the family homestead helping maintain the family dairy and crop farm until 1944 when he entered the US Marine Corp. He was stationed aboard the AirCraft Carrier "The Hornet", in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
In 1946, Chuck was honorably discharged and returned to the family farm in Kansas.
In 1948, he married Helen "Rene" Beair, and for 52 years, until her death in 2001, was a loving husband. Between 1948-64, Chuck worked agriculture in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
In 1964, Chuck and Rene moved to Del City, OK and were longtime residents of the community.
Chuck was a member of the Oklahoma Operators Union and worked construction throughout the OKC area. Chuck and Rene also owned and operated C&H Lawn Service until retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Violet (Wilcox), of three years.
In addition, he is survived by his daughter, Coleen Forbes and her husband William of Noble, OK; his son Chet and his wife, Shelly of Topeka, Kansas; and stepson Gary Wilcox and wife Adrenne of Chandler, AZ.
He is also survived by five grandsons, Casey Roberts, Jonathan Clubine, Kent Clubine, Sean Luethmers (and his wife Ashley), and Chadd Clubine, and was blessed with one granddaughter, Cassandra Clubine.
Additionally, through his marriage to Violet, one step-grandson, Eric Wilcox (and wife Shannon).
He also has one great-grandson, Ethan Clubine and two step-great-grandchildren Katlyn and Alyssa.
Chuck is also survived by two sisters and two brothers and many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved unconditionally.
Upon passing from this life, Chuck also went Home to join twin boys who preceded him in death in 1952, along with one sister, and many loved ones.
Services celebrating Chuck's life will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at 1:00 pm at South Lindsay Baptist Church, 3300 S. Lindsay, in OKC, with interment following the service in Carney, OK at the Carney Cemetery. Funeral services provided by Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home of Del City.
