Graveside services for Susie Helen Prestridge, age 94 of Tyler, Texas are scheduled for 1:30pm Sunday, December 4, 2011 in the Rose Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Robert Carter officiating under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
Mrs. Prestridge died Friday, December 2, 2011 at The Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
She was born September 8, 1917 in Texas to the late A.O. and Essie Dean.
Sue was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Tyler since its founding. She worked at Texas Power and Light as a cashier. She volunteered many hours for the Pilot Club and served as its president from 1965-66.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prestridge was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Leland Prestridge, and sister, Estelle Butler.
Mrs. Prestridge is survived by her sister, Thelma Humphries, sister-in-law, Joan Norris and many nieces and nephews.
