Services for Jim DEW, 76, of Lubbock will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at
Sanders Memorial Chapel, with his grandson, Rev. Roger L. Garrett,
officiating.
Burial will be in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
Mr. Dew died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday in Methodist Hospital following a year
long illness.
He was a native of Indian Territory, Oklahoma, and had been a Lubbock resident
for 49 years. He was a retired auto mechanic.
His wife Florence, died in 1972. Two daughters, Evelyn Lang and Doris Whitaker also proceeded Mr DEW in death.
Survivors include two sons, Garland and Wilmer, both of Lubbock; two
daughters, Mrs. Pauline Deshazo of Abilene and Marie Garrett of Lubbock; one
brother, Dick of Sentinel, Okla., three sisters, Mrs. Lorene Duckworth of
Conroe, Mrs. Sally Williams of Dallas and Mrs. Ramer Morrison of Roff, Okla.;
17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
