When my grandmother Valrie D. Dukes Adams died in 1931, my grandpa Clarence Ezra "Ebb" Adams bought four plots and he used one for his wife and my grandmother. When Aunt Mattie suddenly died in 1937, Uncle Poss needed a grave for her and his brother (my grandpa) Ebb Adams said he could use one of his. Then Uncle Poss (Oscar Franklin) Adams was working on a radio with his son Elbert Lee and he had a heart attack and dropped dead in Elbert's lap. The family needed a grave for Uncle Poss so Grandpa Ebb said they could bury him next to Aunt Mattie.
Uncle Poss, Oscar Franklin Adams, and Aunt Mattie, Mattie R. Gaffney Adams, are buried at the foot of my grandmother's, Valrie D. Dukes Adams, grave at Oak Grove Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky.
