Jonathan Boone
Birth: Oct. 6, 1730
New Britain
Bucks County
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: 1808
Mount Carmel
Wabash County
Illinois, USA

Jonathan Boone was the son of Squire Boone 1696-1765 and Sarah Morgan 1700-1777. Following the naming conventions, that would be Squire Milton Boone and Sarah Jarman Morgan, though that isn't written on the documents.

Jonathan's birth date of October 6, 1730 is clearly noted in the ancient Quaker Meeting records, as is his parentage. Of course when comparing documents we must allow for variations in dates, depending on which calendar was being used. His death date of 1808 is also noted. The records often times have the location of which meeting house they checked into, rather than actual location of the event, so there can be some confusion with that.

Jonathan married Mary Carter, the daughter of Thomas and Jane Carter. Her baptism date was December 26, 1734. She was two months - ten weeks old at the time. Their marriage was in said to be 1750 in North Carolina. Sometimes in absence of a document those dates were calculated based upon the birth of the first child. Some put the date closer to 1755, depending on acceptance of exactly who their children were.

Marriage bond for marriage to Mary Carter was paid December 23, 1788.

Proposed children of Jonathan Boone and Mary Nancy Carter:
Abigail, 1750-1788
Daniel, 1751-1817
Joseph, 1753-1827
Dinah, 1759-aft Oct 1850 (that married Zachariah Allen)
Susannah, 1760-1800
Hannah, 1752-1827
Sarah "Sallie", 1765-1825
John, 1767-1843 (that married Henrietta Pearson)
