Richard Lambe, (1490-1580) was born, the son of John
Lyon Lambe (1451-1495) and Elizabeth May Gray Lambe
(1456-1529). John, later married Janet Douglas. The Zeigler family has Richard 1490 and the Wilbert William Paana family has John Lyon Lambe the 6th 1491.
There are two John Lyon Lambe's said to be above
Richard in line, first, John (1431-4/1/1497) Lyon
Lambe and then (Richard's father) John Lyon Lambe
(1451-1495). There are some indecisions whether the
(John) 1431 was in line with the (John) 1451. Then Richard is next with 1490.
Some say the Lambe name came about because, Glamis, is pronounced Lambe. Also, Lambe means gentle and the family was ocnsidered gentle.
My theory from research, and I admit there could be mistakes, its such a jumble, is this is the Tutor/Stewart/Lyon/ Lambe line:
Walter Fitz-Alan, 1st High Steward of Scotland c. 1150–1177
Alan Fitzwalter, 2nd High Steward of Scotland 1177–1204
Walter Stewart, 3rd High Steward of Scotland his wife Bethóc, daughter of Gille Críst, Earl of Angus
Alexander Stewart, 4th High Steward and Jean MacRory of Bute
James Steward (-7/16/1309) 5th, High Guardian of Scotland and Egidia de Burgh.
High Steward of Scotland Walter Stewart,(1293- 1327)(brother of Robert I Bruce) Princess Marjorie Bruce (1297-3/2/1315) daughter of King Robert Bruce I of Scotland.
King of Scotland Robert II Stuart, born (3/2/1315/16-4/19/ 1390) and Elizabeth Mure (1320-). He was a direct descendant of Mary Queen of Scot who was Queen Elizabeth I, cousin, (Henry VIII, Elizabeth's father, and Margaret Tudor, mother of James V, grandmother of Mary Queen of Scots, were sister and brother).

There was two different people here from two sources:
(Richard) John Lyon (1490/91-4/8/1529) Lambe 6th married Janet Douglas (abt 1495-7/17/1537)per Panna Tree
Richard Lambe 1490/91-1580) married Agnes Ford (1494-1580)
Updike - Wiebe
There is a brother John (1488-) so that may be the John above. so I'm little confused here, but think it is Richard Lambe, wife Agnes. I also, have family records most of it from Rebecca Lamb Aaronson
This is also, where I separate from Mr. Panna's line but remain in Updike Wiebe and Aaronson line
Thomas (1520-) Lambe married Winifred Grisling (abt 1524-before 1610)

He was called The Immigrant

Abiel Lamb (1646-1710) married Elizabeth Clark. It was written in his commanders notes saying Abiel was from the Charlemagne line (Charlemagne Charles the Great Holy Roman Emperor (742 - 814)) Charles's sons became the rulers of Europe. (The oldest son of Pepin the Short and Bertrada of Laon, Charlemagne became king in 768 following the death of his father. Charlemagne the undisputed ruler of Western Europe) the Kingdom of Scotland was merged with the Kingdom of England to form a single Kingdom of Great Britain.

Elmira/Almira Lamb Hill (1845-1922) married Orrin Hill,
Hill (1815-1906) Hill line starts here next was Thomas G. Hill then William Hill and then my father (Thomas Hill).
Richard married Agnes Ford abt 1518.
Their first son was, Thomas Lamb (abt 1520-)(my line), who married Winifred Grisling ((1524-). Her father was William Grisling.
The children for Richard: Thomas Richard Lambe (1520-, Edmond Lambe (1524-1610) in Trimley, Suffolk, England, Cecylle (1526-1620) and Elizabeth Lambe born about (1528-1620).
This bloodline is connected to the royal families; Stewarts, Tudors and the current British, Queen Elizabeth Bowes Lyon. Henry the VII was the first and Henry VIII last Tudor King and his daughter Elizabeth I, was of the Tudor/Stewart/Lyon/Lambe lines. Royalty doesn't have to use a last name.
Thanks to all our many relatives. This information was gathered from many sites such as, Ancestors of Wilbert W. Panna, The Zeigler Family and Updike-Armour & Wiebe-Quiring, Rebecca Lamb Aaronson, Catherine Lamb, and my co-family history researcher, Lois Kowalski. When the information remained the same on many sites I used it here and when documented I listed the site to find it. I tried to pull it together, by generations, an overall picture of our family but I respect corrections and would look at any information. I wanted a starting place to show our line and work from here to sort the confusion.
