Louis O. Glaubitz was the fifth of eight children born to Louis and Alvina (nee Mager) Glaubitz. He married Emma Jahnke in March 1894. They had five sons: Hugo, Rudolph, Louis R., Theodore (Ted), and Philip.

Louis worked as an accountant for a firm in Milwaukee, WI.
