Bruce H. Land, 77, of 1177 Old Dalton Road, N.E., died Monday at a Rome hospital.

Mr. Land was born in Toccoa, March 30, 1909, son of the late William Richard Land and Ruby Queen Briley Land. He was a long-time resident of Floyd County. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Georgia Highway Express as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Vera Shiflett Land, to whom he was married Nov. 27, 1935; two sons, Randolph Land, Rome, and William Land, Wilmington, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Lewis and Mrs. Wilma Kettlewell, both of Rome; two brothers, Tyrus Land, Summerville, and Dick Land, Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Louise Johnson, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Parnick Jennings Sr. and Jack Wright, of Knoxville, Tenn., officiating. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
