Anna, and her brothers, Arthur and Edgar, inherited the Nathaniel Parsons house from their cousin, Anna Wright, in 1910. Growing up, their parents would bring them to Northampton for the summer to visit relatives and escape the Philadelphia heat.
Anna moved to Northampton in 1911 and resided in the house until her death. She compiled a history of the house in 1929. Although she erroneously attributed the building to her ancestors Joseph and Mary (Bliss) Parsons in 1658, she was correct in stating that the house continuously had been inhabited by a family member since its erection (1719). She left the house to the Northampton Historical Society.
