Gerson Doney, aged about 83 years, father of John Doney of South Sixth Street, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leona Coburn, of Clune, on Tuesday evening. Mr. Doney, who resided in Apollo for a number of years, spent recent years at the home of his son here and with the daughter in Clune. The other surviving son is Charles Doney, of Strangford, Miss Sarah M. Fike, of Creekside and Calvin P. Fike of Rome, New York are stepchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Andrews (sic)¹,of Brookville, and Mrs. Solomon (sic) Mowry (sic)², of Emerickville, and 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren are living. Funeral services will be held at The Fred Coburn Home in Clune on Friday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock, by Rev. Charles Williams, of Indiana, and burial will be made at Emerickville.
