BYERS — At his late home on Ninth street, New Haven on Thursday morning, January 31st, 1901, Isaac W. Byers, aged 69 years, from paralysis, a stroke of which he suffered on Saturday. Deceased was born in Dunbar township, a mile north of New Haven and he lived all his life in this neighborhood. He was the son of Andrew and Jane Allen Byers. Sixteen years ago he moved from Dunbar township where he had been a farmer all his life and came to New Haven.
Twice he was honored with election as Justice of the Peace, serving his second term at time of his death. He had also held about all the offices in Dunbar township as a Republican, which was his politics. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Connellsville. In 1808 he was married to Miss Clarissa J. Russell of Connellsville. No children were born to the union.
The funeral will be held from his home, Ninth street, New Haven, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Wm. A. Edie will conduct the services. The remains will be interred in Hill Grove Cemetery.
