Services Set Today For Mrs. Shiflett

Mrs. M. G. (Addie) Shiflett of 106 East Ninth St. died Tuesday afternoon at her residence following a declining illness.

Mrs. Shiflett was born in Cedartown May 4, 1886, daughter of the late Lewis and Addie LeFroy Odom. She was a member of Second Avenue Baptist Church and prior to ill health was a member of the Minnie Johnson Sunday School class. She was married to Marion Gilliam Shiflett who died in 1928.

Survivors include three sons, Mather G. Shiflett of Atlanta, Frederick Marvin Shiflett of Marietta and Roy Vernon Shiflett of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Mr. J. S. Teffeteller of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. W. H. Warren of Rome, and Mrs. Albert Kirby of Rome; four brothers, George Odom, Austin Odom and Terry Odom, all of Cedartown, and Paul M. Odom of Lillian, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. H. E. Wood of Burleson, Texas, Mrs. Claude Hicks of Rome, Mrs. Mark Saul of Rome and Mrs. James Adair of Cedartown, and a number of grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today at the graveside in Pleasant Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Fred White, pastor of Second Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.

Daniel's Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
