She was born Oct. 25, 1917 in Lavaca County, to Marvin Henry Davis and Estella Lillian Fitch Davis. She married Morris Edward Boone on Nov. 15, 1941.
Ola Lee graduated from Yoakum High School in 1936 and later from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos. She was an elementary teacher for 22 years in Lavaca County and Calhoun County. As a member of Retired Teachers in Texas she served as treasurer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Yoakum where she served in Sunday School, Sunbeam Band and Vacation Bible School.
After retiring Ola Lee became a full-time housewife, dedicated to helping her husband, keeping a neat house and cooking delicious meals. She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Lee Belcik and husband Charles of Yoakum, and Suanne Bolech of Yoakum; grandchildren, Collin Belcik and wife Laura of Yoakum, Stephen Bolech and wife Jenny of Waco and Meredith Belcik and partner Anja Lowery of Houston; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jadyn and Bryson Belcik; sisters, Birdie Davis Boone of Point Comfort and Olga Davis Rohan of Corpus Christi; and sister-in-law, Marion Rice Davis of Yoakum.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Morris Boone; brother, Edward Davis; and sister, Maggie Davis.
