James Henry Robinson was the only child of Wyley B. Robinson and Sarah Igleheart Milburn Robinson.He had an older half brother who was the son of Sarah Igleheart Milburn Robinson and her first husband, J. Ewing (sp) Milburn. His name was William M. Milburn (1855-?). After James Henry's mother's death, his father Wyley married Sarah's first cousin Eliza Jane Southard. They had ten more children.


When James Henry Robinson was in his 20's he moved to Ballard County, KY and worked on farm belonging to a distant cousin also named James Robinson. In Nov of 1888 he married James Robinson's daughter Virginia (Jenny)Robinson. They lived in Ballard County, Ky. They had one daughter, Brintha May Robinson Fleming.

James Henry and Jenny Divorced soon after the birth of their daughter and he came back to Ohio County Ky to live. He married Louisa Bell Hocker August 24, 1893 in Hartford Ky. Together they had four children. He worked for a short time at the Echols coal Mines and he was a farmer.


He died at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Louisa Bell Hocker Robinson and two children, Brintha May Robinson and Frank Dewitt Robinson. At the time of his death he was survived by three of his children, Clifton Robinson, Altha Bell Robinson and Harvey Robinson. Four grandchildren and five half brothers, Charles Dawson Robinson, Lloyd Jutson Robinson, John King Robinson, William Wiley Robinson, and Walter Milton Robinson.
