On April 2, 1902 Mary was united in marriage to Elijah Wilford Adams. Elijah was born November 6, 1874 in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Wisconsin, son of Mighill Dustin Adams and Ellen Nora Smith. He died December 19, 1951, probably in Vernon County, aged 77 years, 1 month and 13 days, and was buried there in the Viroqua Cemetery, Viroqua, Wisconsin. No known children.
This was Mary's second marriage with her first marriage in 1896 to LeForce Terhune ending in divorce. Their one child was, Lenore Mae Terhune, born July 8, 1898. Lenore never married and died December 21, 1919 at Hudson, Wisconsin. Her place of burial is unknown. In the 1910 US Census report LeForce was found to be a house painter residing in Viroqua, Wisconsin with his wife Hazel who he had married in 1909.
