FARLINGTON - William "Bill" Rhodes, 94, of Farlington, died at 12:30 p.m.
Monday, May 19, 2003, at Leisure Homestead at St. John.

He was born Jan. 17, 1909, at Dadeville, Mo., to Amos and Daisy Alexander
Rhodes.

He was a retired coal miner who lived at Appleton City, Mo., prior to moving to
Farlington in 1972.

He was raised in Dade County, Mo.

On May 28, 1927, he married Mildred "Micky" Hartman at Girard. She preceded him
in death April 30, 1997.

He was a member of United Mine Workers of America.

Survivors include one daughter, Agnes E. Keesling, of St. John; two
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He also was preceded in death by three sisters, Arelva Cernes, Dolly Rhodes and
Josephine Maghe, and five brothers, Floyd Rhodes, John Rhodes, Alfred Rhodes,
Herbert Rhodes and Vern "Tuffy" Rhodes.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Farlington Cemetery with the Rev.
Larry Hartman officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Bedene Funeral Home, Arma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bedene Funeral Home, Arma.
