Leslie M. Avis
Wichita - Leslie M. Avis, 48, a native of Otis, died Sunday in Wichita.
He was born November 20, 1916 at Otis and had lived in Wichita for 20 years, moving there from St. Louis after his discharge from the service in World War II. He was a salesman for the 7-Up Bottling Co. and was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his widow, Zelma, of the home; two sons, Merl, of Phoenix and Loren of Wichita; a daughter, Sharon of Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Taylor and Mrs. Hanna Tinnebyer (sic), both of Wichita.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wichita, with graveside services at 3:30 at the Otis Cemetery. Cochran Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
