VIOLA AINSWORTH CLAY
Viola Ainsworth Clay, 85, of 10488 Ohio 118, died at 12:50 a.m. Sunday, June 11, 1995 in Convoy Care Center, Convoy, where she had been a resident for the past two years.
She was born Feb. 11, 1910, in Pleasant Township, the daughter of the late John H. and Belle (Case) Ainsworth. On Nov. 10, 1934, in Detroit, Mich., she married Henry Wells Clay, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1990.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, Dale, Frank, Hugh V. and John Frederick Ainsworth, and three sisters, Lanta Riley, Oma Holland and Erma Thatcher.
Mrs. Clay had been a secretary for Kroger Co. in Detroit and the Van Wert County Draft Board.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert White of St. Mark's Lutheran Church officiating.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Cowan & Son Funeral Home.
