Minervia Isabelle Price Gregg was born in Coles County near Charleston, Illinois on September 9, 1860 and departed this life May 20, 1934 at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 11 days. She was united in marriage to Alexander Gregg, August 17, 1879.

She moved to Effingham County, Illinois with her parents when a small child, where she grew to womanhood and spent her entire life near Beecher City, Illinois.

She took up her cross with the Christian faith in early womanhood and departed this life strong in the faith of her Savior.

She leaves to mourn her departure; Hayden Gregg, at home; George Gregg, Willie Gregg and Jossie (Richard) Larimore, all of Beecher City, Illinois; Jesse (Fern) Gregg, Shelbyville, Illinois; stepdaughter, Viola Scoles, Effingham, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Three children preceded her to the Great Beyond in infancy as well as her husband, Alexander Gregg.

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church in Beecher City, Illinois by Rev. A.E. Kretzer. Interment was beside her husband in the Tipsword Cemetery, Beecher City, Illinois.

Pallbearers were; Leo Tipsword, Pearl Tipsword, Tommy Tipsword, Walter Workman, Donald Workman and Harry Slifer. The flower girls were: Caroline Larimore, Mildred Larimore, Catherine Larimore, Beulah Gregg, Emily Belle Gregg and Pauline Gregg.
