Mrs. Minnie Ray, 75, Of Maroa, Dies Here
Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Ray, 75, who made her home with a sister, Mrs. Stella Foster, in Maroa, died at 9:25 a.m. today in the Decatur and Macon County hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks with a broken shoulder.
A daughter of James and Margaret Shaffer, she was born April 22, 1870 in Jacksonburg, Ohio, and married Clinton Ray of Maroa in 1911. Her husband died in 1933.
Besides Mrs. Foster, she leaves two other sisters, Mrs. Della Wakefield, Joliet, and Mrs. Sarah Brelsford, Clinton; and a brother, Solomon Shaffer, somewhere in Missouri.
Funeral services will be hold at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Caplinger funeral home in Maroa, with burial in Maroa cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today.
